Dos Primos Reposado Tequila

Dos Primos is the tequila brand started by country singer Thomas Rhett and his cousin Jeff Worn. The two began developing it in 2018, launched with a blanco in 2021; the range now runs blanco, reposado and añejo. The tequila is produced at Destiladora González Lux, near Arandas in the Highlands of Jalisco, with third-generation master distiller Rodolfo González, using 100% blue Weber agave sourced from Los Altos and the valley areas of Jalisco. The Reposado is rested for six months in oak, the long end of the two-to-twelve-month window that defines the category, enough time to round the Highland agave and give it a light golden color without covering it up. The brand describes hints of dried fruit, smooth vanilla and toasted oak on the palate, sitting on top of the earthy, herbal and citrus character of the Dos Primos blanco it starts from. Every bottle wears a fabric label signed by both cousins and a black leather cord around the neck.
