Minimalist NRG Stadium - 2024 College Football Playoff Championship Game

VARIANT 1: RETRACTABLE ROOF

The first football stadium to get a retractable roof was in Houston - not to protect fans from the rain, but from the sun! The roof panels can be opened or closed in as little as 7 minutes, moving at a speed of up to 35 feet (11 m)-per-minute.

This year marks the first time the stadium will play host to the College Football Playoff Championship game that will take place on January 8th, 2024 between the Michigan Wolverines and the Washington Huskies!
