Mullein (Verbascum thapsus)

With its tall, stately stalks and soft, velvety leaves, mullein has been known for centuries as an ally for the lungs and respiratory system. It’s a gentle herb that helps soothe and support clear breathing, often used in teas during the colder months.

Mullein’s flavor is mild, earthy, and slightly sweet. Steep 1–2 teaspoons in hot water for 10–15 minutes, then strain carefully (the fuzzy leaves can leave a residue if not strained well). Combine with thyme or peppermint for a supportive respiratory tea.
